Veterinary records
Veterinary records can feel impossible to read. Acronyms, lab values, and clinical shorthand are written for other clinicians — not for the families who love these animals and have to make decisions about their care.
In a plain-language consultation, I take the time to walk through what is actually in the record: what was found, what was ruled out, what the numbers mean, and how the pieces fit together. The goal is not to second-guess your veterinarian; it is to make sure you fully understand what your veterinarian has documented so you can be a confident partner in care.
This is an educational consultation. I will not diagnose your pet, prescribe treatment, or replace the role of your primary veterinarian. What I will do is sit with the records, with you, until everything makes sense.
